E-PEL and EUROPASS

In this class we learn two very interesting and useful tools: the E-PEL (we saw this last year too) and the EUROPASS, something that is new for us because we have never heard about it.
Firstly, I am going to show some images from the EUROPASS. But... What´s an "Europass"? 

The EUROPASS is a variety of documents which show your skills and your qualifications. You can find a curriculum vitae and a passport of languages. My example is here:

 Secondly, you have the E-PEL. Something that you can do with your pupils in your English class. With this you self-assessment your skills at English or your skills at your mother tongue or another foreign language as french.

 

You cal also evaluate your skills at competences such as "learning how to learn" etc. This is my example:

IN MY OPINION  it´s so important to assess yourself, to be capable of recognize in which level of English or French you are, because if you know where you are yo can go to further levels, yo can improve. If you are honest wit yourself you can be better. We have to teach to our students this skill since they are very very young because it is very difficult to assess yourself or others. 

The europass is really significant too because if you want to work abroad you have to present your CV and this is a very good option to do it, to present yourself, to explain how good are you for a job. But is very difficult, form my point of view, to work with this in Primary Education. Maybe when they are in the fifth or sixth grade is good, because it´s so important to know what is a CV and how to do it nowadays that it´s better to start with this knowledge as soon as is possible.
